 Agronomy Sales Specialist


 We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for a full time position as an Agronomy Sales Specialist at our Williams, Indiana Ag Center.  This position will also include some operational duties.  

 Candidates should have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).  A college degree in agronomy with strong computer skills is preferred but not necessary.  Successful candidates should have one to three years related agricultural sales experience and/or training or equivalent combination of both.  Candidates with local ties to the local area would also be helpful. 

Candidates will need a valid CDL driver's license or ability to obtain one, a good driving record, clear criminal background check and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

 Agronomy Position - Applicator 


We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for a full time position as an applicator in the Randolph Co., Indiana area to perform custom application for the Ag Center the employee reports to by performing the following duties.    

  • Project a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times while providing outstanding and courteous customer service
  • Precisely blends and custom applies fertilizers and agricultural chemicals based on recommendations and label directions
  • Performs jobs safely and in compliance with environmental regulations
  • Completes applicator logs and reports
  • Loads and unloads inbound and outbound inventory
  • Performs additional tasks that may be required 

Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and training.

  Liquid Fuels Service Technician - Full Time


We are currently seeking a motivated candidate to work as a Liquid Fuels Maintenance Associate in our West Liquid Fuels Energy Department.  This is a full-time position and may require overtime including weekends and evenings.  Essential duties include providing outstanding and courteous customer service, schedule and execute liquid fuel delivery systems installations with customers while following all regulatory and safety compliance rules as mandated, maintain inventory for delivery systems, performs maintenance and repair at the liquid fuel plants and assist the PSRs with lube inventory and product delivery when necessary and requested by the West Liquid Fuels Manager.

Candidates are required to possess a valid Commercial Drivers License with a HAZMAT and TANKER endorsement, a good driving record, clear criminal background check and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  Energy Division - Liquid Fuels PSR/Service Technician - Full Time


We are currently seeking a Petroleum Sales Representative/Service Tech in our liquid fuels/propane department in Monroe, Indiana (Adams County).  This is a full-time position.  Essential duties include selling and delivering liquid fuels and oil products, providing outstanding and courteous customer service, coordinating appointments, installation/setting LP tanks, servicing/repairing equipment, completion and filing regulated forms on gas checks and responsible for the propane department's regulatory and safety compliance in all installations of delivery systems. 

Candidates will need to be CTEP Certified, possess a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with a HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements, a good driving record, clear criminal background check and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

   Operations Associate - Soil Samplers


We are currently seeking 4 to 5 candidates as soil samplers for our Precision Ag Department.  These are part-time positions.  Essential duties and responsibilities include pulling soil samples according to departmental procedures ensuring efficient and accurate sampling.  Perform functions that may include maintenance of equipment, operation of RTV, trailers, sampling equipment and computers.  Provide outstanding customer service while projecting a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.  A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Candidates will also need a valid driver's license with a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical card to be carried at all times, good driving record, clear criminal background check and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

   2016 Field Techs   


We will be seeking candidates for our 2016 Field Technician Internships. Our 2016 Summer Field Tech Internship program will begin in May, 2016.  Our interns will begin their experience by learning about corn, soybean, wheat, and alfalfa growth stages, weeds, diseases, and insects.  They will also gain insight into a fulltime career, develop a professional network, and build confidence and professional character, all while making observations and decisions that are practical, important and meaningful to our producers.  

Benefits of our internship include an incredible agronomy education and gaining valuable experience and connections in the agriculture industry. Many of our former interns have said they learn more in the 12 weeks as a Harvest Land intern than they did in four years of related college work.

Qualified candidates should have an interest in agronomy and agriculture, but need not be an agronomy major. Former interns have had majors ranging from art education and accounting to Biology and Rocket Science, however they have all had the interest in agriculture and the ability to learn.  This paid internship begins May 2016 and runs through the beginning of August.
